Common Chord:
'A non-profit creating music experiences, helping to connect Quad Citizens and building a stronger community where all can thrive.'
While working in communications at Common Chord, I was tasked with creating cooperatively with brand guidelines for an already well-developed website, social media presence, and set of printed materials. The brand voice is fun, musical, family-friendly, creative, and community-oriented with pops of turquoise, white, magenta, and purple.
I also created graphics to promote one of the community events that Common Chord runs: QC Flavor Fest! This FUNdraising event for music education allowed local foodies to taste local flavors of the QC, enjoy live music, and partake in a silent auction including autographed instruments & much more! This project kept the community-oriented, fun, creative brand voice of Common Chord and added in a firey barbecue palette and objective to make the audience hungry, excited, and generous!
Work Types:
- Creating graphics and taking photos for the organization's Instagram and Facebook feed promoting events, performances, and fundraisers.
- Designing plaques for uniquely painted community pianos
- Adding to and further organizing the organization's website.
- Taking photos documenting the effect of Common Chord's music programs on the lives of local kids!
IWU Theatre Guild - PR Team
'The Indiana Wesleyan University Theatre Guild equips, engages, edifies, and entertains students and audiences through the craft of live performance.' This collegiate Christian theatre guild has a beautiful and flexible brand that emphasizes four tenets: Community, Collaboration, Creative Excellence, and a Voice for the Voiceless. I was able to design and implement a standard set of branding guidelines for the guild's social media which featured sky blue, bright and eye-catching orange and yellow, and a deep denim blue which reflected our friendly, community nature, constant openness to creativity, and youthful upbeat voice! During the production run of each show, we transitioned our social media presence to reflect the colors and tone of the productions we were promoting, while retaining our excited, college-best-friend personality underneath the mask.
As a PR Coordinator and Graphic Designer for the IWU PR Team, I promoted performances, auditions, and guild events through graphics, posters, banners, social media icons, stories, reels, handouts, Tik-toks, and more!
Work Types:
- Design implementation examples from the 'default' IWU Theatre Guild branding I helped to design
-Design implementation from several show-specific branding shifts
